Let's have a little fun today. Complete the sentence:

Love is a Verb

Whether you believe in God, Allah, or Conan O'Brien I think we can all agree that this verse from the Bible speaks universal truth.

John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

It's all well and good to say the words, "I love you," but Love is a Verb. To express love, you must behave lovingly.

In addition to saying "I love you," try:
  • Having sex with your husband -- and often. This can be the single most unifying action if you allow it to be.
  • Holding your husbands hand, touching his back, or putting your arm around him.
  • Take responsibility for your commitments and obligations. If you are in charge of homemaking, make him feel loved and appreciated by having a warm meal ready for him. Do his laundry. Vacuum.
  • Never belittle your husband, in others presence or in private. In fact, take it a step farther. Praise him.
These are clearly a sampling of ideas. Be creative. Take time to think of ways to show love and make a plan to execute your ideas. What will work for you? A rockin' hot marriage requires thought, energy, and planning.

Now go do.

Have you noticed improvement in your marriage by making love a verb?

Have You Felt "That Thing?"

"I’ve kissed a guy... I’ve kissed guys. I just haven’t felt that thing.... That thing... that moment when you kiss someone and everything around you becomes hazy, and the only thing in focus is you and this person. And you realize that that person is the only person you’re supposed to kiss for the rest of your life. And for one moment you get this amazing gift. And you wanna laugh and you wanna cry, ‘cause you feel so lucky that you’ve found it, and so scared that it’ll go away all at the same time."

-Drew Barrymore, Never Been Kissed

Have you felt "that thing?"

I have.
